Where am I riding?

Last Sunday I explored a little travelled area in the Waikato. I packed my Superfly in the car and went in search of some quiet country gravel roads. I had 3 hours on my program so loosely planned out a loop with some options on a topo map before kitting up and rolling out. Can you guess where I rode?

Ride start

Some loose gravel.

Any landmarks there?

Flowing gravel everywhere.

Sea views; east coast or west?

Up high, was a steep climb.

I'm fairly sure one of the most spectacular crashes I've seen in the Rally of New Zealand was on this straight.

Found some sweet limestone orienteering terrain

And some clean running gully spur pine

Heading for home, trying to outrun the rain

The Trek Superfly was faultless. 29 is the way to go.
